Our Fruit Lovers share is offered all year. Blueberries, peaches, plums, pears, figs, apples, kiwi berries, currants, gooseberries, and persimmons are some of the delectable treats you may find in your bag.

A small share has six different vegetables, one herb, and one kind of fruit, and is appropriate for a family of 1-3 people. A large share contains two herbs, nine different veggies, and 1-2 kinds of fruit.

What's in season?

In the Spring, look for all kinds of greens, such as spinach, arugula, lettuces, scallions, chard, and kale; plus rhubarb, asparagus, and strawberries starting in mid-May.

For Summer, enjoy the full bounty of the harvest. Squashes, cucumbers, new potatoes, eggplant, beans, peppers, and a wide variety of heirloom tomatoes to start us off. Plus corn, peaches, blueberries, blackberries, gooseberries, and raspberries. So many choices!

Fall continues with summer's bounty, adding figs, apples, pears, Asian Pears, and persimmons to the fruit experience. Summer squash gives way to fall squashes like acorn, butternut, delicata, kabocha, or buttercup. Lots of greens such as spinach, kale, chard, and collards are still in abundance.

In the Winter we use our greenhouses to generate fresh, cool-weather crops such as lettuces, broccoli, chard, kale, spinach, arugula, and collards. You also receive a selection of root crops such as potatoes, carrots, parsnips, turnips, beets, and radishes, along with a fresh herb from the herb house such as parsley, sage, thyme, or rosemary. Pears or apples from the fall pickings are also included. We supplement the winter selection with a monthly addition of canned goods of our summer produce, such as pickles, relishes, or applesauce.

We are a small family farm that has been growing fresh fruits and vegetables since 1832. We grow most everything in its season, from asparagus and strawberries in the spring, blueberries, raspberries, peaches, heirloom tomatoes, and corn in the summer, to apples, butternut, and pumpkins in the fall. Four greenhouses extend our seasons and provide winter crops such as spinach, kale, Swiss Chard, lettuces, and arugula. We run a year-round CSA program with a variety of options, and the market at the farm is open 6 days per week, closed on Sundays. We also have drop off points in Philadelphia for our CSA program. We are located on the north side of Wilmington, easily accessible from Rt. 202, I-95, and well-marked local roads.
